Facing the tight walk between supporting local shopping during in the busiest season of the year with the need to maintain COVID-19 safety precautions, Governor’s Square Mall has established set hours for the Christmas season.
“The schedule was carefully formulated based upon historical data, consultation with tenants and a desire to meet the changing needs and desires of consumers,” said a news release from the mall. “At the same time, they plan to foster the traditions, festivity and joy of the season.”
Santa Claus will be available to hear kids’ Christmas wishes, and the mall will build key hours around “Super Saturday,” the last Saturday before Christmas, which has become one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
“Super Saturday at the mall will be a community event, where guests will enjoy an expanded offering of live entertainment and promotions that offer them great value,” the release said.
All government mandates regarding masks and social distancing will be observed for everyone who works in or visits the mall.
Here are the 2020 holiday season hours.
Governor’s Square Mall is at 2801 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. and is anchored by Dillard’s, Belk, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Ross Dress for Less. For more, go to www.governorssquare.net.
